Yasha J. Lavie is a healer and medium. He was born in Jerusalem to a Hungarian father and an Israeli mother. He worked in many places in the world (Jerusalem, London, Tokyo, Paris, Sydney), and now lives in Auckland (New Zealand), where in 1991 he founded "Directions", a healing centre in the central suburb of Mt Eden.
He had practised various forms of alternative medicine for most of his life when in 1997 - much to his surprise and following a series of unexpected events - he started channelling the healing ways of the Essenes. He realized that all the modalities he had worked with up to that moment had a place in this amazing, truly holistic system of Essene Healing, which added new dimensions (quite literally) to his healing work.
Yasha is the founder of the International Colleges of Essene Healing. The first three have opened their doors in Auckland, Sydney and Amsterdam. Others are planned for other countries in years to come.
Yasha J. Lavie and the Essenes
Yasha watches the view from one of the caves. His healing work changed. The Essenes looked at the physical body in an interesting way: they saw how the state of our physical body is not only directly related to our state of mind, but also to our abilities and life issues. Therefore they had a truly holistic approach to health and healing. The spiritual component, which had long held a central place in his work, took a different meaning in the light of this new perspective. As the revelations continued, he knew that the time had come to share this process of discovery with others.
During 2000-2002 he turned his centre into a community. The members gathered daily for classes and the Essenes came and taught them about life through Yasha’s channelling. It wasn’t quite like living in an Essene community, but they came as close as one could in a lush central Auckland suburb in the 21st century.
In 2007 he felt that the time had come to establish colleges to make the extraordinary concepts that form the basis of the Essene healing art accessible to the people of the 21st century. The first one opened its doors in Auckland in 2007, the second in Sydney in 2008, and the third in Amsterdam in 2010. Other colleges are planned in London, Amsterdam and Tel Aviv.
Yasha personal account:
“In 1997 I experienced an 'earthquake'”, says Yasha, “as I was guided to become aware of the spiritual reality that underlies the physical one. It's impossible to know what my life would have been like if I hadn't gone with my heart and followed the spiritual path. I might be a happier person, I might have discovered other things in life or I might be a frustrated middle-aged man. Who knows? But as I'm writing these words I feel very strongly that I actually didn't have a choice. When you see things clearly, choices seem to be taken away from you. All I wish in life is to be fulfilled by a purpose and the spiritual path of the Essenes offers it to me.”
